One day workshop on CO-PO Mapping and Attainment at IMR, Jalgaon

A One-day workshop was conducted by Prof. A. L. Rane and Prof. P. G. Fegade at the Institute of Management and Research, Jalgaon on 13th September 2023. The workshop focused on the topic of "Co PO Mapping and Attainment" and was attended by faculties of Institute of management and Research, Jalgaon. The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the understanding and implementation of Co PO mapping among faculties, with a particular emphasis on bridging the gap between program outcomes and course outcomes. During the workshop, participants were introduced to the concept of Co PO mapping and its importance in curriculum planning and development. Participants learned that Co PO mapping involves aligning course outcomes with program outcomes to ensure that the curriculum effectively addresses the desired graduate attributes and learning goals of the program. Furthermore, the workshop explored the role of professional bodies in accrediting engineering programs and promoting the adoption of outcome-based education paradigms institutions. Participants were introduced to various strategies and techniques for mapping course outcomes with program outcomes.

Session with Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem Enablers

The session with the innovation and start-up ecosystem enabler was organized jointly by IIC and Department of MCA on 31^st August 2023. Two different sessions were organized for the students namely, Importance of Innovation in Indian Start-up Ecosystem and to Catalyze start-up and entrepreneurship culture in the students. Two well-known experts from the start-up and industry were invited to share their experience and guide the students on the importance of innovation and to encourage forming their own start-ups. Mr. Amar Thakare who is the Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, cyber consultant, blogger, innovator, researcher, security analyst and cyber investigator and also founder of the Lumiverse Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Was the speaker for the first session, followed by the session by Mr. Raja Sekhar Malapati who is a serial entrepreneur having three start-ups to his credit. Around 114 no.s of students from different departments participated in the session.

 Participants have understood the importance of innovation in the start-up ecosystem and they gain the knowledge to share ideas and encourage to realize the concepts to actual start-up’s. This activity was coordinated by Dr. V. R. Dhawale, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA, KKWIEER, Nahik. 

Expert talk on Agile Development Using Jira

The Department of MCA, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik had organized an Expert talk on Agile Development Using Jira on 9th September 2023 for the SYMCA students.  Mr. Vivek Singh, Director, CRM Team Innovation, Pune provided valuable insights into the key principles and benefits of Agile Development using Jira in an engaging and informative expert talk. He discussed how Agile Development, when implemented with Jira, can help teams improve their productivity, collaboration, and project visibility. He emphasized the importance of breaking down large projects into smaller manageable tasks, known as sprints, and how Jira's powerful features can support this process effectively.
