A mini project competition for the course “Mini Project” was conducted on 15th and 16th Dec 2023 organized by the Department of MCA, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Education Research, Nashik.
Prof. Dr. D. D. Bage, Assistant Professor, AI and DS Department, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Education Research, Nashik worked as judge for the competition.
Total 37 groups participated in the competition and the first 3 rankers were declared. The projects are from various domains such as AR-VR, Image/ Color Processing System, Online Insurance System, Plant Disease Detection, Machine learning applications etc.
Judges appreciated efforts and work done by the students. The activity was coordinated by Prof. Sujata Kangune, MCA Department under the guidance of Head of Department Prof. Dr. Vandana Bagal.
The Department of MCA had organized an expert talk on "Kizen Techniques for Data Analytics" on 12th December 2023 for SYMCA students. Mr. Adinath Giri, Giri’s Tech. Up. Pvt. Ltd, Pune conducted the talk. He briefed about the importance of adopting kizen techniques for data analytics, emphasizing how it can lead to continuous improvement and better decision-making in organizations. Mr. Giri highlighted that kizen techniques involve a systematic approach to analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, implementing changes, and monitoring progress on a regular basis. By implementing kizen techniques, organizations can create a culture of data-driven decision-making and continually optimize their analytics processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
The Department of MCA had organised an expert talk on "Current Trends in Computing" on 18th December 2023 for SYMCA students. The talk was conducted be Mr. Jayant Shripati, AT&T Specialist, Data Engineer. He briefed about various emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, and data science. He provided valuable insights into the current trends in computing, highlighting the significance of emerging technologies in shaping the future of the field. Students gained a deeper understanding of how these technologies are revolutionizing industries and were inspired to further explore their potential applications.
