Department of MCA

The Masters of Computer Application (MCA) is a two years full time PG programme, sanctioned by AICTE, New Delhi and Govt. of Maharashtra with an intake capacity of 120. The programme is affiliated to SPPU & ours is the first institute to offer the programme under Faculty of Engineering. Department has attained its distinct identity since 2007. K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research, Nashik has been granted Autonomy by UGC from the academic year 2022-2023.

Industrial Visits

Wind Hans Technologies, Nashik

The Department of MCA has organized Industrial Visit for first year students at Wind hans Technologies, Near Z.P. Office, Nashik Maharashtra on 2^nd May 2024.

The visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Principal Dr. K. N. Nandurkar and Head of the department Dr. V. C. Bagal. The initiative of visit was taken by Prof. A.L. Rane and Prof. S. P. Kangune. Total 36 students along with Prof. A.L. Rane and Prof. S. P. Kangune attended this industrial visit.

Visit was organized with an objective to fill the gap between industries -institute. The visit was very useful to develop a rapport between industry and academia.

Netwins Infosolutions, Nashik

The Department of MCA has organized Industrial Visit for first year students at Netwins Infosolutions, Nashik, Maharashtra on 3rd May 2024.

The visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Principal Dr. K. N. Nandurkar and Head of the department Dr. V. C. Bagal. The initiative of visit was taken by Dr. V. C. Bagal and Prof. M. E. Maniyar. It provided students with an opportunity to gain practical insights into the workings of a software company and understand the latest technological trends in the industry. The students had the chance to interact with industry professionals, learn about their experiences, and understand the practical applications of the concepts they are learning in their coursework.

Lecture Series on “AR VR and Game Development”

The Department of MCA has organized an “Lecture series on AR VR and Game Development” on 29^th April 2024 and 4th May 2024. Mr. Swapnil Dhawan, Sr. Application Developer and Mr. Sachine Khare, Sr. Application Developer, Ultimate Internet Games, Nashik delivered the talk for the FYMCA students. They highlighted the potential applications of AR and VR technologies in various industries, such as gaming, education, and healthcare. Furthermore, they discussed the process of game development and shared tips and best practices for creating immersive and engaging gaming experiences using AR and VR technologies. The lecture series on AR VR and Game Development provided a valuable opportunity for FYMCA students to learn from industry experts and gain insights into the latest trends and technologies in the field of AR, VR, and game development.

Expert Talk on “SQL Server”

The Department of MCA has organized an "Expert Talk on SQL Server” on 19^th April 2024. Mr. Pratik Zambare, Yardi Softwares's, Pune delivered the talk for FYMCA students. During the talk, Mr. Pratik Zambare, shared his expertise and discussed various aspects of SQL Server, including its architecture, features, and best practices for database management. Mr. Zambare highlighted the practicality of SQL in computer science education and addressed the difficulty in effectively marking SQL programming questions. Prof. P. G. Fegade organised this talk under the guidance of Head of Department of MCA Dr. V. C. Bagal.

IIC with Department of MCA Celebrated the World Creativity and Innovation Day

The Department of MCA and Institute Innovation Council (IIC) celebrated the World Creativity and Innovation Day by organizing an expert session on “Graphics to Motion” on 22^nd April 2024. Mr. Vishnuvaibhav Mishra, Center Manager, Arena Animation Academy, Nashik andMs. Madhavi Pagariya, Co-founder, Arena Animation Academy, Nashik were the chief guest for this session. Mr. Mishra focused on exploring the latest trends and techniques in graphics and motion design, providing valuable insights to the participants. Participants had the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technologies and tools used in the industry, as well as gain practical knowledge through interactive demonstration session. Through this session, the Department of MCA and the Institute Innovation Council aimed to promote creativity and innovation in the field of graphics and motion design, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth among the participants. The session aimed to inspire and empower participants to unleash their creative potential and explore new possibilities in the field of graphics and motion design.

Expert Talk on “An Overview of Practical Aspects in Object-Oriented Programming”

The Department of MCA has organized an Expert Talk on “An Overview of Practical Aspects in Object-Oriented Programming" on 16th April 2024 from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. The objective of this expert talk was to understand the concept of Object-Oriented Programming, recognize the industry demands of Object-Oriented Programming and focus on the role of Object-Oriented Programming in IT industry for specific technology. Ms. Vandana Nemade, Founder and CEO, Precise Software Consultancy delivered this talk for the FYMCA students. The talk covered various practical aspects such as the importance of object-oriented analysis and design in software development, the use of object-oriented programming languages like Java and c++, and the implementation of object-oriented principles and techniques in real-world projects.

ASCEND 2K24 Technical Symposiums: A Platform for Innovation and Collaboration

The ASCEND 2K24 Technical Symposium, organized by the Department of MCA, is a platform for innovation and collaboration in the field of technology. This two-day event, scheduled on April 4th and 5th, 2024. The event aims to bring together students, academicians, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge, showcase their innovative ideas, and discuss the latest trends in the field of computer science and information technology. Participants had the opportunity to attend keynote speech by Mr. Shreyas Bramha, CEO, Nutshell, Nashik, and guidance by Dr. K. N. Nandurkar, Director, KKWIEER, Nashik. The symposium serves as a platform for networking and fostering collaborations among participants and volunteer, enabling them to gain valuable insights and work in a team. Around 350 students from various locations participated in this event. Prof. P. G. Fegade and Prof. R. R. Patil coordinated this event under the guidance of Head of Department Dr. V. C. Bagal. Mr. Akhil Ise and Mr. Tushar Shinde worked as a student coordinator for this event.

Expert Talk on “The field of UI/UX”

The Department of MCA has organized an Expert Talk on “The field of UI/UX” on 2^nd April 2024 for FYMCA students. Ms. Isha Tewani, Senior Associate UI/UX Designer, mPokket, Benglore delivered the talk in an online mode. During the expert talk, Ms. Isha Tewani emphasized the importance of understanding user needs and preferences in order to create effective UI/UX designs that meet the goals and objectives of the product or website. She also discussed the various components of UI/UX design, including the use of metaphors, mental models, navigation, interaction, and appearance.
