Expert Talk on "Scope and Opportunities in Cloud Computing"

An expert talk on "Scope and opportunities in Cloud Computing" is organized by Department of MCA for SYMCA students on 26th November 2022 at 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The talk was conducted by Mr. Shrirang Mokashi. He discussed various topics like types of cloud computing, Virtualization, advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing, cloud service types, capabilities and paradigms of cloud computing. Also, he discussed about Azure component and Azure storage. 

Workshop on “Google Data Studio”

A Workshop on “Google Data Studio” for the SYMCA students was conducted on 22^nd November 2022 organized by the Department of MCA, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Education Research, Nashik.

Prof. Dr. Rupali D. Kulkarni, Associate Professor, Computer Engineering Department, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Education Research, Nashik was invited as Resource person. 

The activity was coordinated by Prof. Mariyam Maniyar, MCA Department under the guidance of Head of Department Prof. Dr. Vandana Bagal.

Utkarsha Katkar, SYMCA student from Department of MCA has secured 2nd rank in the essay writing competition on the theme "Are women really empowered?" held on 22nd October 2022 organized by ISTE students' chapter of K. Expert Talk on "Need of Software Testing and Current Trends in Softwrae Testing Automation"

An expert talk on the topic "Need of Software Testing and Current Trends in Softwrae Testing Automation" was conducted on 14th November 2022, 04:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Department of MCA, K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Education Research, Nashik. The motive of the event was to introduce students about Software testing tools that are currently using in the industry. The session was conducted by Mr. Bhushan P. Bakal. He briefed about structure of software application, various Software testing techniques used, Quality control and Quality Assurance. The session was coordinated by Prof. A. L. Rane. under the guidance of Head of Department Dr. V. C. Bagal.

Felicitation Program for the Students placed in Narola Infotech L. L. P., Surat, Gujrat

Department of MCA had organized felicitation program for 19 students placed in Narola Infotech L. L. P., Surat, Gujrat through campus drive. The company had organized the campus drive for the second-year students having average 60% marks in their academics. A pre-placement talk was organized by the company in which they had given information about the company and details of package they are offering for the students. Three rounds were organized by the company for the selection process. 19 students got the placement through the process and got average 3lakhs of package.

Introduction of Mentorship Opportunities

 

The Department of MCA had organized the session on "Introduction of Mentorship Opportunities" by Dr. V. S. Mane during the orientation programme. The session was held on 12th Nov 2022 from 11.30am to 12.30pm. He guided the FYMCA students about how mentoring activity is carried out in the institute. He also stated that how Mentor-Student scheme is used to solve various problems, difficulties and queries of the students. Students got aware about the mentoring facility available in the institute by this session.

Online Guidance Session on Gender Sensitization

Department of MCA had organized an online Guidance Session on Gender Sensitization by Dr. Shruti Tambe, Head, Dept. of Sociology, SPPU, Pune during the orientation Programme. The session was held on 11th Nov 2022 from 10.30 am to 11.30am. She discussed that the goal of gender sensitization is to address issues in gender equality and encourage participants to pursue solutions, how to orient myself, Background and baggage etc.

                           

Counselling Session

Department of MCA had organized a Counseling session by Dr. Pratibha M. Chandak during the orientation program. The session was held on 10th Nov 2022 at 1.30pm to 2.30pm. She discussed about counseling facility available in the institute. She also discussed how students can manage the academic stress, mental & physical stress, overall self-development and vocational development of students.

Training and Placement Talk

Department of MCA had organized a talk on Training and Placement for the FYMCA students during the Orientation Programme. The talk is held on 9th of November 2022 from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Dr. P. K. Shahabadkar(Training & Placement Officer) guided the students about the different placement activities conducted in KKWIEER, Nahsik. He also guided the students about their Academic performance, Communication skills, Presentation skills, attire and Soft Skills. Students asked many questions during the session, and he answered them satisfactorily. 

Guidance Session on Continuous Comprehensive evaluation

Department of MCA has organized guidance Session on "Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation" on 10th November 2022 from 10.30am to 11.30am for FYMCA students. The session was conducted by Dr. Vijay R. Dhawale, Assistant Professor, KKWIEER, Nashik.

In this session he discussed about rules and regulations for PG Programme(Autonomous) for the award of MCA Degree [Applicable with effect from Academic Year 2022-23]. Also, he discussed about the objectives (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation), General guidelines for the theory and Practical examinations and grading systems for the examination. Students got aware about how evaluation will be done for the autonomous system from this session.

Orientation Programme started with welcome function. Welcome function was graced by Mr. Hemant Nikam, Cofounder and Director of Ultimate Internet Games Pvt. Ltd. , Dr. K. N. Nanadurkar, Director of K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Education and Research, Nashik and Dr. S. Y. Kute, Dean of Academics. After the welcome function, Ultimate Internet Games Pvt. Ltd Center of Excellence was inaugurated at MCA Lab I by Mr. Hemant Nikam.
